When exams have finished this summer, it may seem best to simply let your child enjoy their summer without a care in the world. However, with university fees rising all the time, college has never been as important as it is now. Many students may find that university simply is no longer an option for them, making the college grades they receive the ones with which they will be going out to get jobs with.
As such, getting the best possible start may be extremely useful. College is completely different to school and with different teaching methods and a different ethos, those who excelled in school can suddenly find that they are no longer achieving the results they would hope. As such, getting an early start on the subjects they will be studying can be very beneficial.
This doesn’t have to mean that you work them all summer though. Instead, private tuition for just a couple of hours a week may be all it takes to get them ready for the new syllabus before they have even started, putting them ahead of others and ensuring that they hit the ground running.
Private tuition is being used by more and more by people who are finding that the education system is struggling to cope with less money and higher student levels. Tutoring not only allows people to get a head start, but also to get the individual attention they need to excel, allowing you to ensure that they will understand the underlying areas of a certain subject and not worry that time and budget constraints in the college timetable will leave them with a very superficial understanding and in turn poorer grades than they deserve.
