We all know that sleeping too little can cause our brains to feel cloudy, affect our moods and simply let our standard of living dramatically deteriorate. So, getting as much sleep as possible is going to be a good thing, right?

Too much sleep can also lead to anything from heart disease to diabetes, and switching healthy exercise and social interaction for more and more sleep is going to lead you to be as unhealthy as having very little sleep.

Having the right mattress and the right sleeping conditions can help you get the right amount of sleep and control everything from your moods through to your metabolism far better. The amount of sleep needed will vary from person to person and depend on age, gender and specific physical and mental conditions at any one time, although having less than 6 and more than 8 hours regularly is likely to lead to problems one way or the other.

So, whether you currently have too much or too little, it is well worth getting a good mattress or setting that alarm if you want to feel happier, more vital and more focussed.
