People carry so much around with them now when they come into work. You might have your briefcase plus a laptop computer or an umbrella. Maybe you cycle into work and you need to carry a change of clothes for you when you arrive at the office. If you walk in, to save your feet, not to mention your shoes, you might head in wearing trainers and then slip them off when you arrive at work.
If you don’t have any office lockers, the place is going to get pretty cluttered. People will quickly get annoyed if they can relax and concentrate at their desks because of the all the peripheral items that are building up on the floor and spilling out of drawers.
Lockers are a great low cost storage solution. They don’t cost very much to install and they keep staff happy. If you have a look around your workplace there is probably some dead or under utilised space you could fit some metal lockers into. You don’t even need a spare room. They can fit into any sort of corridor. There are solutions for every different type of space and environment.
Not only do office workers need the space to store the things they bring into work, but they also appreciate the security aspect too. We carry all sorts of gadgets around with these days. Gadgets that are great for working on the move, but gadgets that are expensive and an obvious target for thieves. If you need to leave anything overnight, it’s far better to have them safely and securely locked away, rather than lying around as temptation for any opportunist thieves. Losing laptop computers especially is real headache. They may contain files that aren’t backed up or vital work that if lost, will set projects back weeks. So don’t take any chances and give your staff the storage they need. They’ll really appreciate it.
