Hair care products and special skin care products are needed to achieve the new Cheryl Cole look, says hair and beauty experts.
According to an article in This Is London, those wanting to imitate Cheryl’s red hair should invest in hair care products such as colour care shampoos and heat resistance sprays.
Likewise, beauty experts suggest that when it comes to skin care products and makeup, those opting for brighter red hair tones should steer clear of blusher as it will make the face appear very red.
Some of the hair care products that are recommended to use are from Mark Wooley’s range. The Electric Hair Care Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner are said to keep dyed hair up to a third brighter and more vibrant than other hair care products on the high street.
Additionally, the new range of Pantene products which are released in a few weeks also claim to be able to waterproof the surface of the hair, making it resilient to harsh weather conditions and hair colour, leaving it shiny and strong.
Cheryl Cole is very much a beauty ambassador and face of makeup and hair dye brand L’oreal. Since sporting the new red hair on The X Factor, people up and down the country have been rushing out to hair stylists to emulate the look.
Hair colourist, Lisa Shepherd commented on the look on Twitter last week claiming she had just finished her 16th Cheryl red hair job of the day.
She tweeted: “ Colour-wise, it is an autumn trend which has really taken off since Cheryl took it on.
“Dark, plummy red softens Cheryl’s features but she just needs to be careful not to overdo the fake tan or blusher. Otherwise it could end up being too clash-tastic.”
