Printer ink manufacturer receives award

A firm that specialises in producing printer ink and other related products has been issued with an award.Epson picked up the accolade for its Stylus Pro 4900 during a recent ceremony.The maker of printer cartridges and other such items said the Photokina STAR panel that issued the recognition were impressed by the compact design of its product and with its accessibility.

Measuring 17 inches, it was developed specifically to deliver the best possible print quality for commercial photographs, proofs and fine art reproduction.

Commenting on the offering, chief editor at digit! Roland Franken said: “Although this printer is a studio product, it is much more compact and lighter than other products offering similar productivity and print quality.”

Meanwhile, senior product manager at Epson Europe Marco van Niekerk added that the printer ink and printer cartridges manufacturer is “delighted” with receiving the award.

He added: “[It] recognises the flexibility and productivity of the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 as well as its ability to deliver high quality prints on a wide range of media up to 1.5mm thick, along with a very low cost of ownership.”

The Photokina STAR awards are held in order to recognise products and concepts that are distinguished by their innovation and pioneering technologies. They select the leaders in the imaging field at each Photokina event to receive this particular accolade.
