Travelling to Egypt would not be complete without a cruise on the Nile as it takes you closer to the real Egyptian way of life and culture. While floating along the Nile, you can watch life passing by at a much slower pace than that seen on a packed (and over-priced) tourist bus on a trail.

Some of the world’s best known celebrities are also big fans of the country. Alicia Keys gave birth to her first child with Swizz Beatz on 14 October at New York’s St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital.
After visiting the country in 2007 and falling in love with its many charms it came as no surprise to learn that she has named the baby, Egypt Dauode Dean.
Proud father, Beatz was unable to contain his excitement at the birth by writing on Twitter: “ I’m so thankful for everything I have been blessed with in my life.”
