Why We All Love Music

If there is one thing that unites almost every single culture in the world, it is our love for music. Whilst we are likely to have very different views on what constitutes good music (and even those in the same culture are likely to have very different ideas as to what is good and what is not), almost every single culture throughout history has been attracted to making sounds and turning these sounds into music.

It would appear then that this tendency to create and enjoy music is something inherent, built into us as a race. So why is it that we all love music so much and use it for everything from religious rituals to simply letting our hair down and having a good time?

Ultimately, there is a major difference between music and sound. Disparate sounds are unlikely to appeal, and it is structured melody that has the universal appeal that has interested humans throughout history. There are many reasons why music is so universal from the fact that it can stir emotions and in turn be used to inspire thought and emotion, to the fact that it can be easily remembered and in turn used to convey ideas more easily and effectively.

Whatever the deeper reasons, the truth is that there is no escaping music. Our bond of music means that music gifts become something that can be enjoyed by anyone and that, as such, almost anyone anywhere can communicate with others, even when language would otherwise be an issue.

Finding gifts can be hard, but finding music memorabilia that is a part of a musical genre loved by someone can be a great way to offer the perfect present, whilst other music gifts can be used to help inspire people or, as mentioned, simply convey new ideas.

Music inspires us to look at our own lives and even to change, and music memorabilia and gifts can be a great way to share opinions, ideas and emotions with those around us.
