Just like any other type of organisation, charities need to have suitable office space from which to work. Without this, they can struggle to function properly. One third sector organisation that is set to move to new, more appropriate premises is the Special Needs Objective Outreach Project (SNOOP) in Yorkshire.
According to a report in the Bradford Telegraph and Argus, the charity has signed up to become the latest tenant at the £4 million Inspire Bradford development. It will take up more than half of the ground floor.
The offices are unusual in their design and will include Europe’s largest straw bale building.
Meanwhile, commenting on their motivation for relocating, the charity’s leaders Carol Beardmore and Carol Amery said they are looking to grow and need greater capacity to help more people with specialist care requirements.
Ms Beardmore remarked: “We’ve been in our current location for the last 11 years, but wanted to move to a bigger site in order to expand and provide care for more people. SNOOP is also currently split across two sites, a local community centre and a Portakabin, so moving to Inspire is a dream come true for us, as it will allow us to have all our services and staff under one roof.”
She went on to suggest that SNOOP is an important part of the local community as it is the only charity in the area that provides care for such a broad spectrum of people. She also described the facilities and environmental credentials of the offices as “fantastic”.
Indeed, whether they are keen to get serviced offices in Liverpool, Edinburgh office space or anything else, organisations tend to be eager to benefit from superb facilities and environmentally sound premises. Thankfully, there are now plenty of options available, meaning firms and charities should find it easy to source the perfect solutions.
