Taking advantage of property investment opportunities can significantly boost people’s finances. As long as individuals are shrewd in their approach, they stand to make significant gains. These days, there are many different options open to such consumers. Whether they are keen to make the most of the investment property for sale in the UK or elsewhere, they should be able find the perfect offerings for them.
One possibility is to invest in property in France and, according to a Money Observer article quoted by Interactive Investor, many UK investors who are interested in French property opportunities are persuaded by the “energetic marketing towards the leaseback schemes” that operate in a number of tourist developments.
These property investment arrangements are promoted as having a range of benefits, including guaranteed rental income.
However, there is now a new type of opportunity available and this is referred to as ‘bare ownership’, or nue-propriété. This type of arrangement is aimed at investors who have at least €100,000 (£117,015) that they can tie up for 15 to 17 years.
The term ‘bare’ is used because those who make such investments are not permitted to use the properties themselves.
In particular French towns or cities, developers seek planning permission for a scheme to supply a number of units in the development for the council to use over a fixed term. The local authorities use these apartments as accommodation for top-end tenants, such as company managers on secondment, senior public sector workers and so on.
The apartments are offered for sale at a discount of between 40 and 50 per cent compared with typical market price. Once people have made their investments, they can simply sit back and wait for the duration of the lease. When this ends, the council is responsible for renovating the apartments completely.
Of course, France is not the only country with superb investment property for sale. There are many opportunities around the globe.
